She revealed she didn’t realise Amelia needed her PE kit today, after sending her off to her first day of school, so she enlisted the help of her mum.

Altine asked her mum to write Amelia’s name inside her shoes, ready for her to pick up later.

But her mum got things a bit muddled, and ended up writing Amelia’s name on the white side of the sole – in permanent marker.

Sharing the hilarious mishap on Facebook group The Motherload, Altine said: “So I take my daughter to school and I’m told she has PE.

“I didn’t bring her kit because I didn’t think she’d need it.

“Anyway I call my mum and ask her to write my child’s name IN her trainers ready for me to pick up and she writes her name as follows on her new £65 trainers – with a sharpie.”

She ended her post with the hashtag #firstdayofschool.

A third added: “This may be the best thing I’ve seen all week. My mum would have gotten such a row.”
