Naga Munchetty: BBC Breakfast host reacts to 'gutted' viewer after devastating loss

BBC Breakfast host Naga Munchetty regularly interacts with her social media followers and it was no different when a Twitter user reached out to the Radio 5 Live presenter to share some news. It comes after the TV and radio broadcaster had urged her listeners to share their own stories of loss following the death of Prince Philip, who died on Friday at the age of 99.

Earlier this week, Naga explained to listeners that the show would be based on those who had suffered loss and how their beloved helped “shape their family’s lives”.

Speaking on the show, the 5 Live host commented: “We’re talking about grandads this morning.

“This is after those very touching tributes to the Duke of Edinburgh made by Prince William and Prince Harry.”

A social media user later took to the micro-blogging site and opened up about their own family loss.

Elsewhere, Naga opened up about her frustrations since coming out of lockdown as she confessed she “couldn’t bear it anymore”.

The Breakfast host asked for advice as the presenter fussed about her hair.

She admitted she could do it herself if she wanted, however, she’s stuck on whether to just grow it out instead for a change.

“I’ve got to ask your advice,” Naga asked her guest.
