Nadine Coyle's best pal says 'not everyone gets along' amid Girls Aloud feud rumours

With Nadine Coyle busy braving the I’m A Celebrity jungle, her best friend Sophie Atkins appeared on Lorraine this morning to show her support.

Chatting with host Lorraine Kelly, the back up dancer opened up about Nadine’s career with iconic Brit girl band Girls Aloud.

Sophie explained: “She had a great time in Girls Aloud and she loved being in a girl group.”

Lorraine asked whether there was any chance of a reunion down the line, once Nadine wraps up her stint in the jungle.

Raising hopes, Sophie responded: “I’m not sure, she has mentioned it before that there could be a tour…”

Probing for answers, Lorraine asked about speculation over tensions in the group and suggested that “everybody wants them to fall out”.

Hinting at a feud, Sophie remarked: “Not everyone does get on when you work with people.”

Rumours have been swirling over whether there are secret tensions between the bandmates, following their split back in 2013.

Cheryl hit back at the “feud” claims in an interview with Mail Online, saying: “We only want to see Nadine do well, and regardless of any differences we might have had, we will always all have love for each other.”

A story published by The Sun alleged that the bandmates had created a secret WhatsApp group to vote for Nadine to undergo grisly BushTucker trials on the show.

Appearing on yesterday’s Loose Women, singer Kimberly Walsh denied the claims and revealed the accusations had deeply upset fellow bandmate Cheryl.

She told the panellists: “It is completely untrue. It did surprise me and Cheryl. She text me and said ‘I’m actually crying my eyes out. It’s awful.'”

Lorraine airs on weekdays at 8.30am on ITV.
