Nadine Coyle: Kimberley Walsh on 'negative energy' amid I'm A Celebrity star feud rumours

The former Strictly Come Dancing finalist discussed why the initiative is important to her and revealed she “felt detached from community spirit” after being busy with work commitments as part of Girls Aloud.

She said: “I just love that it’s such an easy way for people to get involved in the community and give something back.

“I feel like for me, being in a band for so many years, I was completely detached from community and community spirit.

“Now I’ve got kids, I feel more of a part of it and it’s actually a really lovely thing and it’s so easy for people to get involved.”

Kimberley Walsh is supporting #CelebrateNationalLottery25, an initiative to boost community spirit across the UK and celebrate The National Lottery’s 25th Birthday. The National Lottery is giving away £2 million to help bring people and communities together. Anyone with a great idea to make a difference and boost community spirit in their local area can apply for a small grant to make their idea a reality.
