Myleene Klass and daughters Ava, 13, and Hero, 10, arrive in style at Global Radio

She was recently seen hitting back at critics who slammed her decision to host a RuPaul’s Drag Race themed party for her daughter Hero’s 10th birthday.

And on Friday, Myleene Klass continued to let daughter Hero express her love for the hit reality series, as she arrived in style to Global Radio studios ahead of a special Pride-themed edition of Smooth Radio.

Myleene was all smiles as she was joined by her eldest daughter Ava, 13, and Hero, who was dressed as her own drag alter-ego, Hero Hon Houlash, in honour of the radio show’s guest and non-binary queen Bimini Bon Boulash from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK’s second series.

Hero was dressed in a flowing black and red gown that she had worn during her drag-themed birthday bash, as well as a huge ice blonde wig, while her older sister Ava opted for a green jacket over a black tank top and a pair of loose-fitting denim jeans.

Myleene, meanwhile, looked effortlessly chic in a pink blazer which she teamed with a pair of navy blue trousers that had pink racer stripes to complement her jacket.

She stepped out in a pair of white trainers and kept her personal items in a black pleated handbag, while she accessorised with chic shades.

Her brunette locks were styled into loose waves that fell over her shoulder and she wore a light palette of make-up for the occasion.

While at Global, Hero was besides herself with excitement as she watched on while Bimini, who finished runner up on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, spoke with Roman Kemp on Capital FM’s breakfast show.

Roman had also got into drag for the occasion, donning a blue wig and a black and silver bodysuit to transform into his own alter-ego Roman Eater.

Bimini approved of Roman’s look, joking on Capital FM’s breakfast show: ‘ I’m just a bit worried because I think Ro-ManEater’s going to come for my gigs!’

‘This is something I’ve wanted to do for so long but I have a new-found respect for how hard it is to do it,’ Roman told listeners.

Sharing what Pride month means to them, Bimini later added on the show: ‘I think Pride is about just being able to accept yourself. And it’s fine for people that just haven’t reached there yet.

‘If you’re listening and you feel that you’re not ready to come out, you’re a bit afraid of that, know that there is no destination to get to. You’ve got to take things slow, do it for yourself, and ultimately Pride is about coming together as a community and just celebrating who we are and the diversity, and celebrating ourselves for being ourselves.’

Myleene’s appearance at Global with her daughters comes after she was forced to hit back at trolls who criticised her decision to throw Hero a drag-themed birthday party.

She had shared her efforts on Instagram, which included kitting out the party with its own runway, lipsync battles and a pre-recorded message from Bimini to Hero.

However, trolls slammed the theme, with one insisting drag should be for ‘adults’ and Myleene should ‘let kids be kids.

Myleene hit back insisting that Hero had chosen the them itself and wanted to celebrate the show for its ‘inclusivity and diversity’.

The radio host had been quick to respond, when the troll commented on her posts of Hero’s party and said: ”Drag Queen bday for a toddler?’

‘You work in the arts! I would set that judgement,’ Myleene hit back.

The troll then elaborated: ‘I am sorry my dear, but ”drag” is entertainment for adults, so better to let kids be kids first and don’t worry they gonna get there! I love kids as much as I love my artwork! Regards!’

Again, Myleene fired back and insisted: ‘Some drag acts might come with an age limit, but the enjoyment, diversity, inclusivity, skill and zero judgement, only joy, doesn’t.

‘The kids who came didn’t see limitation, they saw vibrance and celebration for being exactly who you want to be.

‘My daughter chose the theme, she’s been raised by her drag uncles and the LGBTQI community since she was born. She chose to celebrate in technicolour and her family dived right in to back her.

Myleene later took to her Instagram Stories to share the troll’s comments, alongside the message: ‘In the words of @domandink, Drag is about inclusivity and self expression.

‘There are children right now struggling with who they are and trying to understand where they fit in. All will not become clear at 18. Inclusivity tolerance and understanding starts now. Happy Pride.’

The star also shared several DMs from fans praising her open support of Hero, adding: ‘Us Mums stand with the LGBTQ+ community. We are teaching our kids to be inclusive, respectful and giving them the freedom to be who they want to be.’

Bimini was runner-up to Lawrence Chaney in the reality competition show but is clearly a favourite of Myleene’s daughter.
