ONLINE food retailer Musclefood has launched a new meat range especially for the summer – and its covered in sweets.
It is using retro sweets – such as Parma Violets and Rainbow Drops – to coat the meat.
You can get a pork steak covered in parma violets, chicken breast in rainbow drops or beef burgers topped with popping candy.
Obviously it’s a massive gimmick but we’ve not tried the new concoctions so we’re going to give Musclefood an A for originality and a new idea.
It’s not possible for us to really compare these products as there’s nothing else like them on the high street.
But they are pretty pricey – costing between £3.50 and £4 – so you can probably buy the items without sweets for a couple of quid less in the supermarket.
More of a traditional barbecue kind of person? Here’s how to make the most of bbq season this summer.
If you fancy something inventive but not too out there, Sainsbury’s has launched heart-shaped burgers with a cheese centre.
And if you want plain old sweets to snack on, check out Wilko’s cheap as chips pck n mix range.
