Mum's very honest post about giving birth to second baby has thousands laughing

A mum from North London has an almost picture perfect Instagram, featuring dozens of shots of ‘interior porn’.

But nestled in amongst the beautiful bedding and pretty pink bathroom photos are snaps that bring you crashing back down to reality – and leave you laughing out loud.

That’s because they show the totally unglamorous truth about parenting and what happens to your body after you’ve pushed a baby out of it.

The account belongs to a woman named Victoria, who is better known as The Crafty Fox on social media, and she’s nabbed herself thousands of followers by sharing her “unfiltered thoughts” and attempting to normalise taboo topics.

The 36-year-old recently gave birth to her second child, a little girl, and has not held back discussing the impact newborn Edith has had on her lower half – even going as far as to brand the baby the “anus impaler”.

In one post, she wrote: “It’s been one whole month since Edith the anus impaler conquered my cervix with her giant cranium and overthrew Oliver’s reign as King of the baby bell***s.

“Those four weeks have felt like a blur – long days merging into even longer nights of feeding, rocking, hushing and kissing.

“I no longer know what the f***ing time is, whether my vagina will ever feel the same again or how I can take a s*** without my insides falling out.”

She adds: “Parenthood is brutal, especially during these early days – one moment you feel like a majestic queen filled with euphoria and capable of taking on the world and the next, you’ve eaten a whole packet of chocolate digestives, cried at a Stannah stairlift commercial and are consumed by the fear that you will never be able to give your children enough.

“So if you’re a new Mum and you haven’t managed to leave the house, get dressed, brush your teeth or wash your fanny in days, know that you’re not alone.”

Other incredibly honest posts discuss baby poo, breast pumps, swollen nipples and pregnancy sex.

Speaking to MirrorOnline about her account, Victoria who works in the public sector, explains that she started it two years ago as an interiors account, but soon got bored.

“I started my account on maternity leave and at the time my interest was most definitely rooted in interiors,” she said. “But I quickly found that the more I spoke frankly about my day to day experiences of parenthood and shared funny anecdotes with my life, the more it resonated with my followers.

“Eventually, I just got really bored of posting the same five angles of my living room over and over as well as getting frustrated with the unrealistic portrayal of perfection that’s so frequently shared Instagram .

“It just didn’t mean anything to me anymore or truly reflect ‘real life’ so I moved in a different direction and posted my first ever video that depicted me dancing in a gold leotard at eight months pregnant.”

She added: “The response has been amazingly positive. The comments and messages from other women sharing their experiences and offering me love and support every single day has been overwhelming.

“I don’t think we talk openly enough about the physical and mental impact of bringing children into the world or how fundamentally life changing it can be.

“There’s definitely a fear of being judged attached to admitting that motherhood isn’t easy which can leave you feeling like a failure when you don’t live up to the ideal of it coming naturally and all being perfect.

“I myself had moments of such loneliness and isolation after my first child, feeling like I was the only one struggling and wish I’d had someone to talk to about it. If me sharing intimate details of my life and anatomy brings comfort to one other woman out there and makes her feel empowered and less alone, then my job is done!”
