A MUM’S photo of a loo roll holder has sparked a hilarious debate over the ‘right’ way to hang it.
She shared a photo of the toilet roll with the paper facing the wall, but people have claimed it should face the front.
An age-old over versus under dilemma, it seems people have very different opinions over how loo roll should hang.
The mum uploaded a snap of the offending holder to Mumsnet, saying: “Staying with a friend. I can’t even. Do I fix it?
“Do I tell them how wrong this is? Do I end the friendship?
“If DP [dear partner] did this I’d obviously LTB [leave the b******].
“Unless… am I wrong? Have I been doing this wrong all my life?
“SEND HELP.”
It seems the photo has ignited quite a debate online, with more than 200 people airing their views on the issue.
One person said: “It’s your duty to turn that around. Obviously if your friend can’t accept the error in his/her ways you must never return to that house of shame.
“That picture is actually a bit traumatising, could you perhaps ask MN to put a warning in the thread title?”
Another wrote: “Have you considered murder? I think it would be the kind thing to do…”
A third commented: “It doesn’t matter who it is, turn it for their own sake. Maybe they were drunk or having a bad day.”
Someone else thought: “OMG you have to put it right. Straight away. Then only speak of it if your friend brings it up.
“If they automatically put it the wrong way after you fix it, just put it right again. Every. Single. Time.”
But this person thought: “Your friend is correct and you are all wrong.”
Someone else commented: “It’s your duty to turn that around. Obviously if your friend can’t accept the error in his/her ways you must never return to that house of shame.”
Although this person said: “We don’t even have a toilet roll holder. Is that better or worse?”
