Children make a number of mistakes when growing up, often because they don’t know any better.
Sometimes this gets them into a spot of bother, other times it causes everyone around them to crack up laughing.
And one of the things little ones often get wrong, is the pronunciation of words and phrases.
One mum recently shared the hilarious name her toddler uses when talking about bread sticks, accidentally referring to them as “big d***s”.
Her revelation has inspired many other parents to get involved and share their own weird and wonderful tales.
Replying on Mumsnet, a fellow parent revealed that her daughter’s favourite book character is called Stick Man, but the tot frequently refers to him as “D*** Man”.
Another child innocently asks for “c***porn” instead of popcorn when her family are getting movie snacks.
And there were a number of other rude ones on the thread.
A different user commented: “Daughter used to say ‘no bed’ to husband many times fast to avoid bed time when she was little…
“NOB-ED… NOB-ED… NOB-ED at her dad always made me chuckle.”
Someone else posted: “Son (4) has always called cucumber ‘cucumbumber’. It is now part of our standard home vocabulary.”

“When my son starts jumping in muddy puddles instead of muddy cuddles, I think I’ll cry,” added another parent.
Other highlights on the post, included “pootaste” instead of toothpaste, “condoms” instead of conkers and “hitabottomus” as opposed to hippopotamus.
Lots of other Mumsnet users said parents should let their kids keep mispronouncing words and not make fun of them for it.
