Mum who was ‘sick and tired’ of her sons weeing all over the loo comes up with genius way to get them lifting the seat

ANY woman who has shared a bathroom with blokes – especially younger kids – knows only too well how often men’s aim can go wrong.

When Victoria Everest-McKinnell was forced into lockdown with her husband and two sons, she came up with a hack to find out who was lifting the seat when relieving themselves – by taping a £5 note to the bottom of the seat.

The 42-year-old mum was sick of finding pee on the toilet seat after her boys or hubby failed to lift it up.

So, she wrapped the note up in a plastic bag and secured it under the seat, so only the bloke who lifted the seat would find it.

Sharing snaps of herself taping the money under the too to the Facebook group Family Lockdown Tips and Ideas, the mum said: “Having had my boys and hubby more than usual, the pee on the seat has become a daily challenge.

“They all say they lift it, so I thought let’s see who does actually lift it! Wrapped and sealed very well who actually lifts the seat!? Let’s wait and see.”

Victoria, who hails from Tunbridge Wells, had previously confronted hubby Paul Everest and sons Dawson Everest, 12, and Finlay Everest, 13, but all three claimed not to be responsible for wet deposits left behind.

Her plan worked a treat, with oldest son Dawson claiming the cash prize – however it wasn’t his first trip to the toilet that day, so Victoria says he must be a ‘part-time seat lifter.’

After carrying out her cunning experiment, the woman returned to share the results.

She said: “Turns out it’s all of them!

“They each in turn (in the end!!) found money…. but they obviously don’t lift it every time.

“Since the other day, they have all been lifting to check and are now lifters.”

Other mums quickly flocked to the post, which has received 39,000 likes, to share a giggle over the hilarious hack.

One dubbed the idea “brilliant,” while another said it was a “cracking idea”.
