EVERY mum would agree that deciding what to food to prepare each day is a struggle – especially when trying to feed so many mouths.
But one mum has taken the crown for being the an organisational queen after she shared her very detailed and well thought out weekly meal schedule – complete with a shopping list for the entire week.
Taking to Facebook, the Australian mum shared her list of pre-planned school lunches which was broken up into sections labelled “F,R and L”, which she later revealed stood for “fruit, recess and lunch”.
Next to each was a selection of food items with things such as sushi, chicken parcels and roast meat sandwiches making the list.
The weekly plan also included a list of dinners for the week, with the organised mum listing a variety of delicious meals including Paella with scallops, potato bake and the popular Thai dish, Tom Kai Gai.
Posting a photo of her planner to the Facebook group Lunchbox Mums, the woman said: “Does anyone else pre-plan their kids school lunches (and dinners) for the week, each week? My brain loves lists, makes me feel like I’m organised. “
She added: “[It] helps with the food shop, too, so I don’t have to pop into the shop every day after work for forgotten bits and pieces!”
The mum’s organised list proved popular among other members of the group with many envious of her organisation tactics.
One person wrote: “I wish I could be this organised. I plan 12-24 hours ahead and shop every other day.”
And another said: “I wish I had this skill and level of organisation! I’m currently just doing the random trips to the shops for the forgotten items.”
While a third wrote: ” Great idea I may try that one”
But while many fans are jumping to praise the organisational queen, it seems she’s not alone in planning out the kids meals for the week, with many other mums sharing their own planners.
One person wrote: “I use one note for our meal plans and shopping list so both my husband and I can access via our mobiles. We also store our recipes there too. Makes organising food much easier!”
And other said: “I do exactly the same. I have a dedicated meal prep custom made book!”
Many mums were also eager to find out what planner book the mum was using, as that too proved to be a popular choice among the inspired mums.
One person revealed she has the exact same planner, before detailing her own very organised schedule.
She said: “I love my Steph Pase planner too! Also grabbed the calendar and these magnetic lists from My Organised Chaos. The larger calendar I just write like ‘dentist’ under the name and all the details like time and place is in the planner “
