Getting a child to do something they don’t want to do is virtually impossible.

But a mum has hailed a brilliant product that helps stubborn kids take their medicine.

And the best part is that it’s an item that many youngsters are already familiar with – a dummy.

Shannon Williams explained that she picked up a dispenser dummy from Boots, which has a special compartment for liquids.

Sharing a video on TikTok, the mum explains how it works and shows how simple it is to open the lid, add a syringe full of medicine and then snap it shut.

After, she can be seen giving it to her young daughter, who gladly sucks on it with the medicine inside.

Describing the purchase as the ‘best thing ever,’ Shannon adds that another key selling point is that the dummy costs just 50p.

One person replied: ‘Why didn’t I know this after having my second.’

Another said: ‘You really do learn things everyday.’

Someone else added: ‘This is so smart.’

While a different mother gushed: ’I love that product. It’s amazing.’
