For many parents, the most traumatic part of their day is trying to brush their little one’s hair.

Particularly if your child has curly or easily knotted hair, you feel terrible trying to tame it, but have to do it despite their tears.

This tip might be fairly welcome for some parents, then, and the price is more than right too.

A parent on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group shared a hairbrush she recently bought off eBay, that she says has changed her routine altogether.

The brush is called the Head Jog 08, and it costs just £6.95 from eBay.

‘I would like to say a big thank you to the person that shared the post about this brush,’ the mum said, referencing a previous post that praised the item.

‘It’s worked wonders with my wee girl’s hair – with no more tantrums.

The brush looks pretty standard, but glides through tangles much easier due to the materials it’s made with.

Instead of plastic, the bristles are made of ‘Bio-material’, which is a kind of polymer obtained from renewable biomass such as straw, and rice husk.

Not only does this make it more sustainable, it also means the bristles are softer, so instead of focusing on one specific knot (and in turn pulling on it) it goes smoothly through the hair.

The soft pins are known to give the head a nice massage too, which can promote hair growth and aid oil dispersion to hair is healthier.

The brush – which can be used on wet or dry hair – comes in colours Heather, Mint, Oatmeal and Sage.

Underneath the mum’s post, heaps of other people commented on the efficacy of the brush, with one even claiming that they’re a hairdresser and use it in the salon for blow-dries.

If it stops tantrums come brushing time, we’re sold.
