A MUM has shared how she managed to bag a whopping £200 worth of kids’ toys for a mere £50, thanks to a clever trick.
The savvy shopper took to Facebook to share snaps of her haul, which she snapped up for £50.
She shared images of the two toys in store for knocked down prices, including an Owleez toy which is sold elsewhere for £50 and Rizmos doll which can go for £60 a pop.
Explaining how she managed to secure such a great bargain, the thrifty mum wrote on the Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK: “[I] spent £50, was meant to cost £200 with all the bits I got.
“[You get] £5 off when you spend £25. I split into 2 transactions so I got £5 off each transaction. Offer on for this weekend.”
The woman’s tip has proved popular within the group, with many others liking the post.
Keen to make sure no one missed out on getting a bargain, another mum helpfully wrote: “The Owleez are also £14.99 in Matalan (RRP £59.99) in case you don’t live near an Entertainer.”
The clever mum’s nifty budgeting trick comes during the school holidays, as many parents will be looking for ways to entertain their little ones.
In recent weeks, mums were also thrilled to find B&M had reduced a huge array of toys, including bath toys for 10p a Peppa Pig bargians.
For more bargain buys, B&Q is selling kids’ playmats in the sale for just £2.80 – and they’re perfect for going under your paddling pool.
And find out how parents are already preparing for Christmas with huge Argos and Asda sales hauls.
Elsewhere, £1 books for kids are back on sale in The Card Factory and mums are delighted.
