Mum reveals amazing ‘blanket’ bread trick for getting kids to eat all of their packed lunch


GETTING picky kids to eat the healthier parts of their packed lunch can be a mission for most parents.

However, one clever mum has come up with an adorable way to get her kids to munch up everything.

In a post on Facebook group ‘School lunch box ideas’, the woman called Yvonne revealed that she serves her children nutritious food created to look like “monsters” tucked up beneath a “blanket”.

The social media user shared a snap of a creature created made from pepper beneath a guacamole spread lying on a slice of bread.

Captioning the image, she wrote: “I discovered that my kids will eat anything under a blanket.

“Guacamole blanket, nut butter blanket, Nutella blanket, hummus blanket.”

“This one is guacamole, tomatoes, cheese teeth, pinenut hands and Wilton candy eyes. You can ‘glue’ the eyes and teeth on with jam or honey.”

Her cute tip went down well with fellow members who praised her impressive creativity.

One person wrote: “Omg this is so cute.”

The savvy New York-based mum has also shared other kid-friendly culinary creations on her Instagram account @eatyourmonsters.

Commenting on a pig made from carrot beneath a guacamole “blanket”, a social media user told her: “This is beyond adorable.”

She also made a monkey from banana and strawberry beneath a nut butter “blanking”, prompting one follower to add: “In love with these.”
