Mum mortified after being sent kinky underwear instead of a giraffe balloon for her 10-month-old daughter’s birthday

A MUM who ordered a giraffe balloon for her baby’s birthday got more than she bargained for after she was sent some erotic lingerie instead.

Lauren Wood, 32, from Manchester, purchased the balloon from online retailer Wish for her daughter’s first birthday party next month.

But she was horrified when she opened the package to discover that she had been sent a piece of see-through negligee instead.

She took to Facebook where she shared a snap of her order receipt for her balloons and the very skimpy nightie that she had been sent in its place.

Captioning her post she wrote: “Well that will teach me not to order from WISH again, safe to say I wasn’t expecting this when I opened what I thought were giraffe balloons for my daughter.

“It’s the poor sod who opens my balloons instead of this who I feel sorry for, not tonight my love.”

Wish works by cutting out the “middle man” and directly connecting shoppers with their manufacturers.

The app sells everything from clothing to electronics for up to 90 per cent off – and sometimes even for free.

Aware of how pricey party planning can be Lauren went in hunt of a giraffe balloon for her 10-month-old daughter.

Lauren’s nine-year-old daughter and nephew were present when she unboxed her package, and she admitted that she “couldn’t speak for laughing.”

She told the Manchester Evening News: “What made it worse was that it wasn’t even my size – I couldn’t even fit one thigh in it.

“Instantly, I thought my partner had bought it and through fits of laughter couldn’t even get my words out,” she said.

“I thought it was him and he thought it was me until I checked the packaging and it stated that it should contain balloons that I realised it was from WISH and should have contained my large giraffe balloon.”

She initially planned to return the lingerie but has since decided to hang on to it for the “sheer comical value.”

In other news, parents are raving about this “elf surveillance” camera, claiming it’s stopped their kids being naughty ahead of Christmas.

And this “cheeky” mum plans to ask guests to bring CASH to her five-year-old twins’ birthday party because she “doesn’t want to bin unwanted presents”.
