A 68-year-old mother has opened up about the close bond she has with her adult daughter, which sees her licking her awake ‘like a puppy’ in the mornings.
In a clip from new TLC series sMothered – which explores extremely close relationships between mothers and their daughters – Marcia is seen creeping into 21-year-old Alena’s bedroom before tonguing her face.
Making a series of slobbering sounds, Marcia declares she wants to ‘lick her all up’ as she starts covering her face and making noises.
Rather than be shocked awake, Alena is seen giggling at her mum’s unusual ritual, later telling the cameras how much she enjoys it.
‘I love it when my Mamma licks me, it kind of makes me feel closer to her because we’re doing something funny and out of the ordinary,’ she tells the camera.
‘It’s a thing we do every single day!’
‘She kept pestering me for a puppy and I couldn’t get her a puppy,’ Marcia adds.
‘So I turned into the doggy. Alena tastes pretty good and all sweet, I just want to eat her all up!’
Marcia adopted Alena, who suffers from an enzyme deficiency, when she was just a toddler, and since then they have become inseparable, often sharing licks between each other.
Other games include chasing each other, with the one doing the running getting licked all over when they’re caught.
Chasing first started between the pair when Alena was a child to help increase her stamina and to encourage growth.
‘When I catch my Mamma I do all my kissy-poos and I kiss her all up,’ Alena explains. ‘She’s very kissable!’
Despite acknowledging many may find it weird, Marcia is determined to maintain the bond she has with her daughter.
