A DAD and his daughter who were forced apart for 129 days due to coronavirus were finally reunited in time for a bedtime story.
The moment the two finally got to see each other was captured on video and shared on the Facebook page Carmela’s Stand up the Muscular Dystrophy.

The little girl in question is Carmela Chillery-Watson, a brave six-year-old living with LMNA congenital muscular dystrophy.
Her condition has forced Carmela to shelter at home due to the coronavirus outbreak, as she is considered a vulnerable person.
As Carmela’s father is a key worker who has been working as a delivery driver throughout the pandemic, he hadn’t been allowed to see his daughter for four months.
A heartwarming clip of the moment he was finally allowed to read his little girl to sleep was captured and shared on Carmela’s updates page.

The caption read: “Reunited after 4 months. Daddy is finally back.
“It’s been 129 days that my daddy hasn’t been allowed indoors near me because of my clinically vulnerable condition and daddy being a Covid emergency delivery driver.
“Daddy still hasn’t kissed, cuddled or given me a high five as he doesn’t feel confident due to still doing the odd hospital delivery, BUT tonight was a very happy bedtime.”
The youngster looks pleased as punch with her dad’s presence in the viral video, which has now racked up hundreds of likes and comments.

- As there are many different types of muscular dystrophy, the symptoms can vary depending on the variation.
- However, one symptom all sufferers have is a muscle weakness, but again the severity of this is different from person to person.
One person gushed: “Aww that’s lovely she looks so happy to be with her Daddy, well done sir it must have been so hard to.be away from your family, I wish there were more sensible people about.”
