Mum hides chocolate stash inside veg in the freezer – and her kids have no idea


A CLEVER mum has revealed her genius trick for keeping her chocolate stash a secret from her kids.

The woman shared online how she stuffed her sweet treats in a bag of frozen vegetables and placed it in the freezer – leaving the rest of her family none the wiser.

In a post that has now gone viral on Facebook, the savvy mum wowed fellow parents with two pictures – one of a bag of the frozen mixed veg sealed with a freezer peg and another showing it open and full of  several Snickers bars and other sugary snacks.

She wrote: “Let’s see [if] the kids find this stash.”

Her cunning plan was a hit with social media users, who re-shared her post more than 52,000 times.

More than 2,700 people also left their thoughts – with many praising her for the creative parenting hack.

However, one social media user revealed her own mum had also used the handy concept – although in her case, for booze.

They recalled: “My mum has been doing this for ages, and hiding a whole bottle of alcohol in veggie bags too.”

Another person pointed out a flaw in the plan, explaining that veg lovers would suss it out pretty quickly.

They shared: “This wouldn’t have worked in our family I loved my veg too much.”
