MISSY Elliot sent MTV VMA viewers into meltdown as she reunited with Work It dancer Alyson Stoner 16 years after the iconic video was released.
The rapper, 48, performed with Alyson, 26, at the ceremony in 2003 when she won Video Of The Year for the track and the pair proved they’ve lost none of their skill or passion in the years since.

Dressed in oversized military camo, Missy delivered a medley of her best-loved hits as she was named a Michael Jackson Video Vanguard for her influential career.
And when Alyson appeared in a bright yellow Adidas tracksuit and began doing her electric moves it sealed the performance as one of the night’s most memorable.
One fan shared: “Missy Elliot’s VMA performance was everything. So proud of her. I literally got goosebumps when I saw Alyson Stoner. Didn’t even need a close up. I just saw a white girl dancing and I knew. We all knew. ❤️.”

Missy was bestowed the honour by Cardi B, who told the crowd: “Her album was the first one I ever bought.
“Everyone has copied from Missy Elliott, even me. I don’t care! So what?”
Cardi won her first VMA tonight, scooping Best Hip Hop for her Money video.
Meanwhile as Missy collected her award, the music legend said: “I promised I wouldn’t cry this time, ’cause I cry every awards.”

She added: “I have worked diligently for over two decades, and I never thought that I would be standing up here receiving this award, so it means so much to me.”
And she gave a special shout out to Michael Jackson’s sister Janet, saying: “I love you. I thank you for being such a great friend.”
The emotional star also paid tribute to her late friend Aaliyah, who died in 2001, aged just 22.
She told the crowd: “Aaliyah, I love you. We miss you.”
