MP Tracy Brabin is pleading with people to text her after This Morning accidentally leaked her phone number during an interview.

The ITV show was thrown into chaos on Friday after the ITV show broadcast cast her number live on air.

Tracy kept receiving phone calls during her chat with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford and they just couldn’t work out why.

The ITV hosts were discussing the coronavirus pandemic with the actress turned MP via a video link when her phone kept ringing.

And while Tracy thought it could have been signal issues, the hosts just couldn’t work out why the interview kept getting interrupted.

Following her interview, Tracy took to Twitter where she revealed she had been inundated with phone calls.

She went on to plead with people to text her instead.

‘Just done @thismorning and my phone number was posted on-screen,’ she began.

‘And I’ve been inundated so will have to change my number. Please TEXT.’

A spokesperson for This Morning has since responded to the blunder.

They told Metro.co.uk: ‘It was a technical error which was swiftly rectified.’

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV.
