AN MP has pleaded guilty to breaching Covid rules by travelling across the country when she knew she had the virus.
Margaret Ferrier got a train from London to Glasgow in September 2020 having tested positive after suffering a “tickly throat”.

While waiting for the results, the independent MP for Rutherglen and Hamilton West also spoke in the Houses of Parliament and had meetings with other politicians.
She got the news she had tested positive for Covid while in London but chose to take the train back to Glasgow rather than self-isolate at a hotel in the capital.
She informed her party of her status the next day.
Ferrier had the SNP whip removed in 2020 after the allegations emerged.
She has come under pressure to resign from her seat, but remains an MP.
Ferrier, 61, of Cambuslang, admitted she had culpably and recklessly exposed the public “to the risk of infection, illness and death” at a Glasgow Sheriff Court hearing yesterday.
Sentencing was deferred until next month pending legal reports.
