Mountain Dew Announces Expanded Partnership With PUBG Mobile

PepsiCo soft drink brand Mountain Dew announced an in-game activation and extended partnership with PUBG Mobile. The deal will see product placement in-game via the “Mountain Dew Fuel Stations” and will be available for players to experience for a limited time. Additionally, in some international markets, specially-marked Mountain Dew product purchases will allow customers to redeem in-game prizes and rewards. Along with this, Mountain Dew will also continue to be the official beverage sponsor of the PUBG Mobile Pro League, Americas, World League, and the Global Championship 2020.

Mountain Dew has worked with PUBG MOBILE in the past, as the “platinum” sponsor of the PUBG Mobile Pro League South Asia. However, with the ban on the game in India, the fate of the second season of the tournament is currently undecided. The new deal was facilitated via Indian tournament esport company, NODWIN Gaming (NODWIN Gaming is a client of and a minority investor in AFK Gaming). It has a long-standing relationship with Mountain Dew and has been organizing Dew Arena, one of the country’s premier esports events for several years running.

Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed.
