MOTHERCARE’s Black Friday sale was one of the biggest for parents in 2018.
The retailer offered some hefty discounts across categories, but will it do so this year? Here’s what we know so far.

Will there be a Black Friday Mothercare sale?
The Sun has reached out to Mothercare for confirmation that the retailer will be taking part in Black Friday 2019.
But we have yet to hear back on any plans for this year’s big discount event.
Mothercare did take part in 2018, and in some style – with big discounts across key categories.
What was in Mothercare’s Black Friday 2018 sale?
Mothercare had great offers across all of it main sections last year, including 60 per cent off all toys and 50 per cent off selected car seats. Nursery furniture and bedding both also had 50 per cent off, and there was 25 per cent off all clothing, footwear and accessories.
There was even a deal where you can get a free car seat with selected pushchairs. Some of the best deals included:
- Red swing coat – was £32 (25% saving)
- Camberley cot bed – white, was £145, now £150 – buy here
- Graco DuoDiner – Breton Stripe, was £74 (52% saving)
- Sparkle Lights Dolls’ Mansion was £60, now £95.99 – buy here

Our tips for finding the best deals this Black Friday and Cyber Monday
IT might be tempting to dive in and snap up LOADS of items on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but here’s how you can guarantee you’re getting a good deal.
PREPARE Research the items you want to buy and find out the cheapest price. Websites like PriceSpy, PriceHistory and CamelCamelCamel will give you historical data on prices so you can see how much you should pay.
GET FOLLOWING Follow your favourite shops on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and sign up to its deals newsletter to get the latest on any offers. We post the best deals in our Sun Money FB group too.
EARN CASHBACK Check websites like Quidco and TopCashback BEFORE you place your order. Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account, usually within 14 days.
CHECK FOR CODES Take a look at The Sun Vouchers, and see if you can get extra savings with Mothercare discount codes.
How much does Mothercare delivery cost?
Standard delivery costs £3.95 at Mothercare, but its free for orders over £50. Express delivery is £4.95. Click and collect is free in the UK.
Any returns for shopping done online must be made within 30 days, but if you buy sale items in store you’ll only have 14 days to return things.
All returned goods must be accompanied by a note of your details and order number.
Any toiletries, personal products such as breast pads and nappies, products that have been personalised and opened mattresses cannot be returned. Check the returns policy carefully before you buy.
