Mortal Kombat has collided with America’s Got Talent via dance squad Adem Show, who were one body-contortion away from delivering a fatality to the judges.

Adem Show, from Kyrgyzstan, appeared in the latest episode of the reality show, who all dressed up in attire inspired by characters from the popular games series.

The act got some fancy production to introduce them too, with battle cards showing Elektro (inspired by Raiden), Inferno (Scorpion), Vortex (Sub-Zero), and Cyclone (probably Smoke).

Appearing before judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, and Julianne Hough, the group moved silently onto the stage before kicking off their body-popping routine.

The dance generally revolves around Raid… er, Electro controlling the others from the back like a conductor, as they spin their limbs in increasingly absurd ways.

Adem Show received a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, with Gabrielle getting particular excited about the act.

‘What you guys have created on stage is freaking amazing,’ Gabrielle said. ‘The movements are so articulate, impactful and tight. I loved it.’

Simon agreed, saying: ‘It was just amazing to see your reaction to their reaction.

‘I always like to see something I’ve never seen before and it’s about imagination. And that’s what you’ve got. And anyone as good as you who decides to come on our show, I owe you a huge thank you, so thank you.’

The act went sailing through to the next round for four yeses from the judges.

Adem Show were even praised by Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon on Twitter, who wrote: ‘Ridiculously talented dancers in Mortal Kombat Kostumes on America’s Got Talent.’

America’s Got Talent airs on NBC in the US, with episodes releasing in the UK on Netflix.
