Morrisons has just launched a new fizzy tipple.

Launched just in time for BBQ season, the retailer suggests you enjoy the bubbles on their own or make them into a delicious cocktail by adding fruit.

Inspired by Wimbledon, the 75cl bottle has an alcohol by volume (ABV) content of 5.5 per cent.

And it’s the only strawberries and cream flavoured fizzy wine we could find being sold at the major retailers.

In comparison, Sainsbury’s is also rolling out a number of Wimbledon themed products over the next couple weeks, including a discount on a 70cl Baileys Limited Edition Strawberries and Cream Irish Cream Liqueur.

It take the price from £21 down to £16 but it has a higher ABV at 17 per cent.

Elsewhere, Morrisons’ cheapest 75cl bottle of rose wine – Barefoot’s white zinfandel – comes in at just a smidgen more than its new bubbly at £5.50 – and it has a higher alcohol content of 8.5 per cent.

Other brands putting a twist on a classic include Echo Falls, which sells a 70cl bottle of strawberry infused gin rose at Co-op for £4.50, with a 37.5 per cent ABV.

While last month, wine giant Echo Falls launched a rum-infused wine that tastes of coconut and pineapple at B&M, costing just £3.99 for a 75cl bottle with an ABV of 9 per cent.

If it’s still Morrisons’ aptly named “Garden Party Strawberries and Cream Fruit Fizz” you’re after the then you can find it in any of Morrisons’ 350 stores.

Kopparberg launched a fruit alternative back in June when the company revealed its £1.95 pink gin and lemonade pre-mixed 250ml cans.

Caribbean king Malibu, also caused a stir when it launched a pink lemonade twist on the coconut rum classic in May.

Or, you could make sure nobody goes without out and bag yourself six bottles of fizz at Asda for just £3 each.
