Money Heist season 5 DELAY: Fans fear the worst over La Casa De Papel ending

Money Heist viewers were thrilled up to the final moments of season four this month. As Denver (played by Jaime Lorente) ran through gunfire to meet his comrades, viewers were unsure where the show was going to go. Thankfully, with plans for a fifth season on the way, viewers must wait for the next instalment of the show.

Unfortunately, as season four has only just been released, season five is most likely quite some time away.

Now, with the coronavirus pandemic shutting down a number of production for TV shows, fans are beginning to worry about the timescale of season five.

Viewers have now taken to Reddit to speak about when the release of season five could possibly be.

One fan, Jirachi93, recently began speculating about this, and posted a lengthy breakdown of the issue.

They wrote: “However due to the current situation we are in and no one being able to shoot anything we might have to wait two years to see season five.

“That is the real problem here I think. Even if the makers can’t be blamed for it.”

Money Heist has been split into two parts per season, with season one’s parts being released in May 2017, and October 2017.

Season two’s parts were released in July 2019, and April 2020.

By this estimation, there may already be a two year wait for the beginning of a new season – however this could be made longer with a coronavirus delay.

With El Profesor (Alvaro Morte) at the end of a gun, the next set of episodes may see the mastermind behind all of these heists being killed off.

If he does get killed off, how will the members of the heist be able to execute the next part of their plan?

Meanwhile, viewers have begun hitting out at the show’s final episodes.

In a brutal rant, one fan wrote on Reddit: “I’ve just finished watching the fourth season and am I the only one completely disappointed?

“How all of this related to the heist? I really liked first two episodes, and last two episodes and the middle was something weird.”

Other fans hit out at the show’s plot, noting that it diverted away from the ongoing heist frequently.

“Why did they show so much of Berlin wedding,” another asked. “If neither this event, neither his wife influenced the heist in any way?”

The final moments of the season saw the heist team coming together once again, after duping the police who were chasing them.

With so much going on, however, they lost touch with her leader, El Profesor, leaving them vulnerable to attack.

Will all of the team survive in the upcoming fifth outing for the show?

Money Heist season 4 is available to stream on Netflix now.
