Money Heist season 4 theories: Nairobi’s fate confirmed after fatal shooting in big clue

Nairobi (played Alba Flores) took part in the first heist at the Royal Mint of Spain in Madrid as she wanted to become rich so she could take her son back and start a new life. She eventually decided the best thing for her son would be to let him live his life with a new family and went off to party with Helsinki (Yashin Dasáyev). However, when she returned to rob the Bank of Spain, her relationship with her son was thrust into the spotlight once more.

Nairobi was shocked when she saw Inspector Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) walk in front of the bank and leave a blue teddy bear, which belonged to her son, and place it outside.

The robbers went outside and took the bear, bringing it back into the bank, where Nairobi snatched it up and ran off.

As she held the bear, she explained to Stockholm, also known as Mónica Gaztambide (Esther Acebo), that she hid pills in her son’s bear before she was arrested.

After mourning her son, she was shocked to see Alicia then walk in front of the bank again but this time holding the hand of her son.

As Nairobi broke down crying over seeing her son for the first time, a sniper took aim and shot her.

She fell to the ground instantly and the robbers were seen rushing to her aid.

However as an armed vehicle approached the bank, they were forced to stop an attack on the building before helping Nairobi.

The end of the series saw the robbers, including Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó), panic as they believed Nairobi would not survive.

Another added: “I still don’t understand why they would put that in a teaser. Are they trying to spoil their own show?”

“I dont know but I so love Nairobi here. She has a strong character yet she has the soft hearted side. I hope she wont die because she’s my favourite!” a third commented on the trailer.

Someone else shared: “If the team dies I’m done with Netflix. Nairobi getting shot was already too much to take.”

Whether Nairobi survives or not it looks like much of the team will be in danger as one shot shows Helsinki being pulled up on a rope.

The synopsis for season four also suggests more drama is on the horizon as it reads: “La casa de papel Part 4 begins in chaos: the professor thinks that Lisbon has been executed, Rio and Tokyo have blown up an army tank and Nairobi is struggling between life and death.

“The gang is going through one of its toughest moments and the rise of an enemy among its ranks will put the heist in serious danger.”

Will the gang manage to get through another robbery and leave the Bank of Spain alive?

Money Heist season 4 drops on Netflix on April 3, 2020.
