Money Heist plot hole: Fans in uproar over major Inspector Raquel Murillo oversight

Money Heist’s third run revealed Inspector Raquel Murillo (played by Itziar Ituño) had moved her mother and daughter to the Philippines to live with The Professor (Álvaro Morte). When Tokyo (Úrsula Corberó) rocked up begging for help to rescue Rio (Miguel Herrán), the couple decided to embark on one more heist – the Bank of Spain.

Throughout season three, the couple were seen several times working together to manage the heist outside of Madrid.

Unfortunately, not everything went to plan with Raquel being caught by the authorities.

The Inspector thinks she is dead and was shot unarmed, however, viewers know she is very much alive.

In the teaser for season four, she is seen being dragged into the police tent outside the Bank of Spain.

There she will face the terrifying Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri), who is the inspector in charge of getting the robbers out of the bank.

The trailer also reveals Alicia will tempt Racquel to hand over the Professor with her daughter and mother.

Fans have to wait and see if Raquel, who has the code name Lisbon, will betray the Professor or not.

However, this storyline has brought a rather surprising oversight to the attention of fans.

“I really hope that he comes back and gets another beat down from our dear Professor.”

Fans were quick to agree, with one replying: “I think he’ll come back and I’m both excited and terrified.”

Another added: “YEAH .. I guess he will collaborate with Alicia in season 4, Alicia is using him getting information from Lisbon … #thinking.”

Meanwhile, fans are certain that despite often causing the most trouble, Tokyo will be the one who survives.

From the very beginning she has narrated the heists and the events surrounding them which viewers think is a sign she will survive.

Taking to Reddit to theorise, one viewer asked: “Do you think her narration is just her narrating what’s happening?

“Or do you think its something else like she was caught and she’s speaking to police and her narration is something more than just her talking?”

One fan was certain it is “just her narrating what’s happening”.

However another guessed: “Maybe a hint she will be one of the survivors too and also it’s to explain the events.”

Money Heist season 4 drops on Netflix on April 2.
