Moment Boris Johnson aide exasperatedly almost drops F-bomb when GMB asks for Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid interview

One of Boris Johnson‘s aides has been caught almost dropping the F-bomb live on television after a reporter asked the Prime Minister for an interview.

The Good Morning Britain reporter was trying to get Mr Johnson on camera to answer questions from Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid when the aide began to swear before stopping himself. A swear word is not audible.

Reporter Jonathan Swain was on a live link to Morgan and Reid at the time.

The studio anchors can be heard gasping while Mr Swain says: “I’ve just had a reaction here from one of the minders.”

Mr Johnson’s aide was heard swearing on live television (ITV)

Later on Swain tries to talk to the official, asking him: “Do you want to tone your language down? People are watching this morning.”

Mr Johnson does later agree to deliver on his promise to go on Good Morning Britain – but does not agree to a time.

Mr Johnson, who was in West Yorkshire doing a milk round, has been criticised for dodging interviews during the election campaign, most notably with BBC presenter Andrew Neil.

He later delivered a crate of milk and other items to a house in Guiseley.

Two bottles of milk already outside the property were removed before the PM arrived.

He knocked on the door, which was opened by civil servant Debbie Monaghan, 40, who said: “Look who’s here.”

She called to her husband Mark, 40, and said: “So nice to meet you, Prime Minister. What are you doing up so early?”

Mr Johnson said he was delivering milk, orange juice, washing up liquid and other things before reiterating campaign pledges.

Mr Monaghan, who works for Northern Powergrid, told the PA news agency: “It’s a surprise. It’s very early, I assume he’s travelled a long way but I’m going to vote Conservative so I’m quite pleased.”

The Conservative party has been approached for comment.
