A fan of Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that the Love Island star speaking out about her cancer scare helped save her life.

Hannah Bolton, 31, revealed that she was inspired to check her breasts after seeing Molly’s post about finding a lump, which led to her discovering she had triple-negative breast cancer.

Molly, 22, had shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed in September after having a lump removed from her breast and finger.

She had previously had a mole removed from her leg which doctors had told her was a malignant melanoma, sending it off to the USA for more checks.

Hannah, who has a son, revealed that she had found her lump after seeing Molly-Mae’s post, telling The Sun: ‘Molly-Mae’s decision to share that post saved my life.

‘If she hadn’t shared that post I would never have checked my breasts to this very day. I never did, it never crossed my mind.

‘That lump would still be growing now, it could be really bad by this point if I hadn’t found it.’

Hannah had been on holiday with her three-year-old son Jaxon when she discovered the lump in her own breast and was motivated to get it checked out.

After seeing a doctor a 3cm tumour was discovered, which almost doubled in size in the following six weeks before she was told she had triple-negative breast cancer, a rarer form accounting for around 15 percent of cases and more common in women under 40.

Hannah has since begun chemo, revealing on Instagram that during a recent check-up her oncologist had told her the lump had shrunk so much she was unable to find it.

She is now working to raise awareness of the importance of getting lumps checked early, as most cancers have a better prognosis the sooner they are discovered.
