Everton have agreed a deal with Juventus to sign teenage striker Moise Kean for just €32m (£29m) with the transfer set to go through this week.

The 19-year-old scored six Serie A goals last season and seven in 17 appearances across all competitions for the Turin side

His performances earned him a call-up to the Italy national side and now boasts two goals in just three appearances for his country.

The Toffees have been able to secure the signature of one of the brightest prospects in European football for a seemingly knockdown price, although it could rise to €40m (£36.6m) in add-ons, report the Guardian.

Even his reported salary of £2.75m-per-year does not make him one of the higher earners at Goodison Park, working out at around £53,000-per-week.

The fee agreed for Kean is the same amount Everton have received in the deal taking Idrissa Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

While Gueye is a significant loss to Marco Silva’s midfield, it represents a £21m profit on the price paid to bring in Gueye from Aston Villa in 2016 and the Toffees have already brought in a replacement in the form of Fabian Delph.

Everton have been making big moves in the transfer market this summer, bidding around £52m for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha, although the offer was rejected by the Eagles.

A second bid was expected from the Merseysiders, but none emerged and it now appears that none will be forthcoming.

‘”A bid was made over the weekend, which was turned down. Both clubs agreed that was the end of the matter,’ Everton said in a statement.
