Modern Family star Sarah Hyland took to the stage at the Teen Choice Awards this weekend where she allowed her post-operation kidney bump shine.

The star has had multiple surgeries and two kidney transplants after she was born with kidney dysplasia, a condition where your kidneys do not form properly in the womb.

However, that didn’t stop her from living her best life at the ceremony, as she showed off her ‘KUPA (kidney upper p***y area)’ in style.

Taking to Instagram, the 28-year-old shared a picture of her performance, which revealed her stomach slightly protruding from the surgeries.

In the caption, the actress reflected on her body confidence and how she was more than proud of herself for making the decision not to wear any Spanx.

She wrote: ‘Yesterday I had my first nationally televised performance of a song I did with the amazing @jordanmcgraw.

‘I was terrified. I was excited. There was a PHENOMENAL crowd supporting us the entire way through.’

The star added: ‘Thank you so much to everyone who watched! Thank you @teenchoicefox for having us!!

‘And a final thank you to my ever changing self confidence for making the decision to not wear Spanx and let my KUPA (kidney upper p***yarea) shine like the bada** b***h she is.’

Fans were quick to comment, and showered the actress with praise.

‘Such a bada** KUPA… so proud of you!! It was amazing! Ur amazing,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘Yep. Everything about you is bada**.’

Someone else said: ‘I think I speak on behalf of all women when I say, f**k spanx. Get it girl.’

Even Lily Collins joined in on the celebrations: ‘Yeassss girl. So proud.’

This isn’t the first time the star has opened up on her ops, as just last year she told Self magazine that her body rejected her father’s kidney seven years ago, but luckily her brother turned out to be a match.

‘When a family member gives you a second chance at life, and it fails, it almost feels like it’s your fault. It’s not. But it does,’ she said.

‘For a long time, I was contemplating suicide, because I didn’t want to fail my little brother like I failed my dad.’

However, she has since insisted: ‘I’m thriving. I’m super happy with life.’
