The Misfits Gaming Group (MGG) announced the appointment of Vas Roberts to the position of vice president of partnerships. Roberts will lead the outfit’s commercial team in Europe while working on global partnerships. The move was made in an attempt to bolster the development of MGG’s European business footprint, according to the company.
MGG fields several teams including Misfits Gaming in the League of Legends European Championships (LEC), Florida Mayhem in the Overwatch League, and the Florida Mutineers in the Call of Duty League.
Roberts joins MGG with over a decade of experience in esports. In his previous role as the vice president of sales for FACEIT, Roberts led the company in the area of sponsorships and content licensing. Prior to FACEIT, he was a director at Heaven Media.
“Vas joins us with over 10 years’ experience in esports. His passion for esports combined with intrinsic industry knowledge will enable him to create partnerships that will put our partners at the forefront of the industry. We’re excited to grow the team in London, which will serve the Berlin office, our League of Legends team, the Alienware Center for Esports, as well as developing significant partnerships on a European and global level,” said Ben Spoont, CEO and co-founder of Misfits Gaming Group.
