Russi Taylor, the woman behind iconic Disney character Minnie Mouse, has died aged 75.

The voice actress played Minnie, Mickey Mouse’s wife, for more than 30 years, and passed away in her home in Glendale on Saturday.

The Walt Disney Company confirmed her passing, with Disney CEO Bob Iger saying in a statement: ‘Minnie Mouse lost her voice with the passing of Russi Taylor.

‘For more than 30 years, Minnie and Russi worked together to entertain millions around the world—a partnership that made Minnie a global icon and Russi a Disney Legend beloved by fans everywhere.’
