Millie Mackintosh shared a powerful love letter to herself about her relationship with her body.

The 31-year-old gave birth to her first child, Sienna, in May with former Made in Chelsea star Hugo Taylor, 34.

She took to Instagram to share her thoughts on her body post-pregnancy as well as her past body confidence issues.

Millie started by reflecting on the ‘damaging’ dye jobs she had done to her strawberry blonde hair as a child, which she now regrets doing as it took ‘ten years’ to get back.

Moving on to her skin, she explained: ‘Starting in my early teens, and reappearing recently as adult acne, my breakouts have the power to reduce me to tears and destroy my confidence.

‘I have scrubbed you, squeezed you, picked, prodded and pummelled you in my attempts to make you look perfect.’

She went on to discuss about how ‘self-conscious’ she used to be about her boobs, saying she stuffed her bras – and sometimes wore two – with wool.

‘I always felt you were a bit small and I planned to do something about you at some point,’ she continued.

‘Then, when I was pregnant you amazed me by doubling in size and then a lot more after Sienna was born and my milk came in.

‘You fed my baby for the first four months of her life and for that I will always be grateful. Now you’ve deflated and after being so stretched, you look a little sad and saggy.’

‘How I miss you being being perfect and perky. How did I not see it? I wish I appreciated you more before.’

She covered her bum, stomach and legs in long paragraphs in the letter as well.

Her love letter is part of a new series called ‘A Love Letter To My Body’ on her blog This Is Finding Balance – made so anyone can share their insecurities and/or confidence.
