Miley Cyrus is missing being able to see her friends and family as the coronavirus outbreak continues around the world.

The singer, like many others, has been practicing social distancing to help slow the spread of the virus.

She has been using this time to connect with her fans through Bright Minded talk show on Instagram, where she chats to her other famous friends who are also in self-quarantine.

However she is missing seeing her nearest and dearest face to face.

Miley, 27, told Zane Lowe on Apple Music: ‘We get so numb to people opening the door for us and saying, “Good morning. How are you?”

‘What would we give right now for it to be safe to open the door for somebody, but right now when we open the door, we think, “Oh, where’s my glove, let me get my hoodie. I’m not allowed to look at you. Get six feet away from me.”

‘And so I miss that human connection. I miss opening the door for somewhere and having the door open for me.’

She added that she was particularly missing seeing the staff at a cafe near to where she lives.

‘They make my day. They always draw little smiling faces or put my initials in my cappuccino. I miss that. I miss that connection with my daily routine.’

But the Wrecking Ball singer confessed that being in self-quarantine has made her more connected with other people than she was before the crisis began.

‘But when it comes to communication and connection, I’ve been more connected from the social distancing perspective in isolation quarantine than I have actually outside in the world, and I want to take all of these philosophies that I’m learning inside my house outside of my house when it’s safe to do so.’
