Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson took their relationship to the next level by spending their first Thanksgiving together.
The pair were noticeably quiet on social media over the holidays but Miley’s younger sister Noah Cyrus unwittingly confirmed the couple did spend Thanksgiving Day together.
In a black and white photo shared on Noah’s Instagram account, Miley, 27, is seen sitting across the dinner table from Cody, 22, while surrounded by Miley’s family and friends.
Cody was perched right next to Miley’s mother Tish Cyrus, while the Wrecking Ball singer’s grandmother and Noah are sat nearby.
‘Extremely thankful for everyone at the table. ??? (a very sober thanksgiving staying hydrated ?) [sic],’ Noah captioned the image.
It’s probably for the best that no one was knocking back the booze as Miley has had to deal with poor health recently.
The Wrecking Ball singer was forced to undergo surgery on her vocal cords after issues stemming from a bout of tonsilitis. Doctors put Miley on vocal rest for ‘several weeks’ and is expected to be back to full health early next year.
After spending Thanksgiving with the family, Miley and Cody were seen enjoying a casual afternoon grabbing lunch in Los Angeles.
Things appear to be going well for the couple after they were said to have split last month.
An insider told Radar Online that the pair had decided to ‘take a break’ so Miley could ‘focus on herself’ but were remaining friends.
However, another source later claimed they were still together and were happy to spend chunks of time away from each other living ‘separate lives’.
A source told People: ‘They have a very easy relationship. They see each other when they can and when they are apart, things are good too. This works for both of them.’
They added: ‘They are very happy together. She has a new house in LA and when she’s in town, she has been spending most nights there.
‘She was out of town and they definitely missed each other. They reunited and you could see how happy they were to be back together again. It’s clear they are very into each other.’
