Sports presenter Mike Bushell, 54, is currently touring the country with the cast of the Strictly Come Dancing Live! tour.
Earlier this week he headed to Scotland to dance his socks off in Aberdeen.
Following his ballroom dancing performance on Wednesday, Mike had the day off to explore the area and decided to strip off and brave the freezing waters for a dip in the sea.
A picture he posted on social media yesterday, showed him alone on the beach, making his way to the sea in a tiny pair of swimming shorts.
Although the sun was shining, it was in fact taken on a freezing cold winter day.
He captioned the Twitter snap, which he shared with his 55,500 followers: “Thanks Aberdeen.”
Before continuing: “The sun shone the sea was sparkling (even in January) and the audiences were fabulous.”
The television star signed off: “@SCD_Live_Tour @BBCBreakfast next up it’s @LUFC Leeds. Mot”
Sharing the post on her own Twitter account shortly after, Mike’s wife Emily called her husband a “nutter” for going for a swim in winter.
She wrote: “Only my nutter husband would strip off and take a dip in the North Sea in January!”
Taking to the comments section one Twitter user penned: “And this is why he’s the nations favourite.”
Another added: “Love this guy…. he’s a top man!!!”
The popular BBC star was partnered with professional dancer Katya Jones, 30, on the most recent series of the show and continues to dance with her on tour.
Tonight they will perform at the First Direct Arena in Leeds before heading to Manchester for the weekend.
Ahead of the tour, the Russian dancer told her 164,000 Instagram followers the Mike’s dancing had improved since appearing on the show.
She said: “A little secret- @mikebushellofficial actually got even better since the show!!!”
