Middle-East, North African Region Get First Valorant Tournament

Riot Games has announced that it will host a Valorant tournament for the MENA region (Middle East-North Africa) starting in November. The tournament, Strike Arabia, is a two-staged tournament that will take place from Nov. 1 – 25. Logitech is the major sponsor of the event and has been named the official peripheral partner.

There will be three sub-regional events that will take place in GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries, North Africa, Levant, and Egypt. The top three teams in each region will qualify for the main event, First Strike MENA, which takes place Dec. 3 – 6.

Competing in the GCC event will be teams from UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, and Oman. The North Africa tournament will see teams from Morocco, Tunisia, and Algeria compete, while teams from Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt will also participate in the Levant and Egypt tournament.

The Strike Arabia double-elimination matches will be streamed via Valorant Arabia’s Facebook, YouTube, and Twitch channels from Sunday to Wednesday each week of the event.

The First Strike tournament follows an announcement made last week that Riot Games would be adding servers in the Middle East and Arabic language support for Valorant

First Strike MENA is one in a series of regional tournaments organized by Riot Games around the world, with each crowning the best team in their respective region. This series, known officially as First Strike, will kick off the Valorant competitive scene.
