Microsoft will launch Xbox Project Scarlett in 2020 with Halo Infinite

Halo Infinite – a sure bet

Microsoft has confirmed its next-generation console Project Scarlett will release in holiday 2020, coupled with Halo Infinite.

During their E3 conference, vice-president of gaming at Microsoft, Phil Spencer, gave the first concrete details about their next-gen plans.

In video footage with those crafting the new console, the company boasted significantly reduced loading times, and a processor four times more powerful than the Xbox One X.

They also claim the new console achieves 120 frames per second, touting it as ‘the most immersive console experience ever’.

While they didn’t show the box at the conference, they debuted a new trailer for Halo Infinite which launches alongside the new console.

Specifications for the next generation Xbox previously leaked in February this year, with rumours it would release next year alongside Halo Infinite, which proved true.
