Michelle Visage in Twitter disagreement with James Jordan after Strictly Come Dancing exit

Michelle Visage hit back at James Jordan after the former Strictly Come Dancing professional criticised her latest dance on the show.

Michelle, 51, and her pro partner Giovanni Pernice exited the competition on Sunday night after failing to impress with their Couple’s Choice routine, which saw them Vogueing to Madonna’s iconic track.

Tweeting during the results show, James told fans that he “actually believed that Michelle was a real contender and had some great performances.”

“I was really starting to love their partnership,” he continued. “They took a risk this week with the Vogue dance (If you can call it that). It just didn’t pay off.

“And people at home obviously felt the same.”

Despite the fact James, 41, didn’t tag Michelle in his post, it didn’t take long for her to spot it and reply.

Hitting back, she wrote: “The only way to change the world is by taking risks.

“I’m SOOOOOO proud of this dance and going out on this one.”

Fans then alerted Michelle to the fact James had posted a series of other tweets about her dance, including one which saw him declare that he “didn’t like Michelle’s dance the first time but hated it the second,” adding: “Shame because she was a bloody good dancer.”

Quoting his post, Michelle said: “Also James, you should @ people when you talk about them! That’s all.”

He wrote back: “No! That would be called trolling… That’s all.”

In an emotional VT that aired before Michelle and Giovanni’s Blackpool performance, the American star explained the importance of Voguing and how it helped her find her place as she was embraced by the LGBTQ community as a teenager.

She explained: “It’s less about the song and more about what Voguing has meant to me as a teenager who kind of had no place in New York City and was taken in by the gay community.

“I knew for the first time, that I had found my family. I knew that I was there and I knew that I was home.”

Unfortunately, Michelle’s dance did not wow the judges and she ended up at the bottom of the leaderboard.

After dancing off against Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard, Michelle and Giovanni left the competition
