Michelle Pfeiffer confirms she will reprise her role as Janet van Dyne in Ant-Man 3… and filming will begin ‘in spring of 2021’
Michelle Pfeiffer confirmed she will be reprising her role as Janet van Dyne in the upcoming Ant-Man 3.
While she declined to share any further details, the Golden Globe winner revealed she, Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Douglas, will begin filming next spring.
‘I’m supposed to do Ant-Man, the third one,’ the 62-year-old star said of the highly-anticipated Marvel threequel during her interview on InStyle‘s Ladies First podcast on Wednesday.

When asked about the tentative filming schedule amid the COVID-19 pandemic, she noted that she thinks ‘that’s supposed to happen in spring of 2021.’
Previously, her character – formerly known as Wasp – appeared in Ant-Man and the Wasp and had a cameo in Avengers: Endgame.
Director Peyton Reed confirmed on SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show in August that production was ‘working away’ on the upcoming film despite the global pandemic.
‘There’s some really really really exciting things in store, none of which of course I could speak to you about right now, as is the Marvel way,’ he said.

‘I think the third movie is going to be a much bigger, more sprawling movie than the first two. It’s going to have a very different visual template.’
In September, Deadline reported Jonathan Majors would portray the super-villain Kang the Conqueror in the third installment of Ant-Man.
While the studio has yet to confirm, the site reported that Majors will likely ‘be one of the main villains in the next installment in the franchise.’
Kang was originally born in the 30th century of Earth-6311 as Nathaniel Richards and is known in the MCU for his time-traveling capabilities, which makes the character an easy fit for the Ant-Man genre.
