Michelle Obama and Lana Condor are newfound best friends after their recent trip to Vietnam and we’re living for it.

The To All The Boys I’ve Met Before star was asked to go to Vietnam, where she was born, in support of Michelle’s charity Girls Opportunity Alliance.

‘I got a call and I have a scholarship – I’m from Vietnam and I was adopted from Vietnam – I have a scholarship that puts Vietnamese girls through high school education and [Michelle] has the Girls Opportunity Alliance, which is all about educating young women,’ she said on the Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

‘Our values coincide and all of a sudden I got this phonecall, like “Would you like to go to Vietnam with Mrs Obama?” and I was like, “Uh, yes?!”‘

The 22-year-old admitted: ‘I stayed up all night long for like months, thinking “How will I greet her?” It’s not the monarch, so you don’t bow, but she’s my queen.’

Safe to say Michelle had a whole lot of love for Lana too, tweeting in response: ‘@LanaCondor, I loved spending time with you in Vietnam and am so grateful for your work with the @GirlsAlliance to educate and empower young women. Sending you a big hug!’

We have no choice but to stan.

Lana is definitely keeping herself busy, with the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel set to hit Netflix this month.

A new teaser was recently released for the movie, which will see Lara Jean Covey’s (Condor) world rocked by new boy in town John Ambrose (Jordan Fisher) after her supposed happy ending with Peter Kavinsky (Noah Centineo).

Meanwhile, before we’ve even got the whole second film in our lives, it’s already been announced the third film is in the editing suite – with Noah saying he’s wrapped his time as beloved Peter.

He write on Twitter a goodbye to the character of Peter Kavinsky back in August last year.

‘Tonight was my last night as Peter Kavinsky,’ the post read. ‘I hope you all love these last instalments as much as we do.

‘Forever grateful to every person who told this story with us.’

No, you’re crying.
