Letting her brunette locks fall loose down her shoulders, the actress also donned black tracksuit bottoms and a matching beanie hat.

Also wearing white trainers, the former Coronation Street star completed her look for the day with a black handbag.

The outing comes after the couple hosted a fancy dress bash for New Year’s Eve at their Essex home for their friends and family.

The theme for the bash was for guests to dress up as someone beginning with the first letter of their name.

While Mark chose to go as rocker Marilyn Manson, Brassic star Michelle opted for a much more glamorous look in the form of Marilyn Monroe.

And it sounds like the couple had a ball hosting for their loved ones, as Mark penned on Instagram following the party: ‘Marilyn and Marilyn threw 1 helluva fancy dress NYE bash last night.

‘What a way to see in the new year, all of our friends and family in 1 room having the time of our lives. Thanks for being there you lot and happy new year to everybody.’

It came after Mark revealed he once left Michelle outraged when he broke a Christmas family tradition, by taking her step-dad to the pub.

Revealing all on Heart FM back in December, Mark said: ‘My wife’s family are from the north and I’m from the south so we have to switch it up but once, a couple of years ago, her mum and her stepdad came down.

‘This year we are having all of them, and this is why I’m scared – because when it happened a couple of years ago with just two of them, we broke the family tradition, and it was my fault.

‘My wife’s family tradition are getting in pyjamas, sitting in front of the TV, watching a Christmas film and having a bit table, which if you don’t understand what that means it’s like sausage rolls, prawns, chicken nuggets and kind having picky bits whilst you’re watching a film, very cute night but I’m used to going out clubbing on Christmas Eve.’

Mark continued: ‘There’s a pub right next to mine and my wife’s house. All my mates go in there. All my family go in there. Everyone from the village. The Christmas tunes are on.

‘Me and her stepdad are in the pub a couple of years ago, having a few beers, get a bit carried away and forget about the bits table. To punish us they didn’t text us to hurry up to tell us it was ready they expected us to know.

‘So what we did, we went home a bit too late, walked in, faces like thunder, food was cold. And I mean they were livid.

‘There was no coming back, I was like ”oh no I’ve ruined their family tradition” her stepdad’s never been in trouble on Christmas Eve but I also love Christmas Eve so much with the drinks that I’m not gonna refuse going down the pub this year.’

Mark and Michelle first began dating at the end of 2012, and he proposed nine months later during a trip to Dubai in September 2013.
