Michael Owen's Premier League predictions – including a huge upset

Michael Owen fears Frank Lampard’s difficult start to life as Chelsea boss is going to continue with a tricky trip to Molyneux this weekend.

The Blues have managed just one win in four this season since Lampard took up the reins, and face a Wolves side equally desperate for three points – with Owen tipping a victory for the home side.

Man Utd are also preparing for a tough afternoon on Saturday as they host Premier League high-fliers Leicester .

Brendan Rodgers’ side have enjoyed an unbeaten start so far this campaign, and Owen picked out one player to have his say.

“Jamie Vardy has been involved in 14 goals in 14 league games since Brendan Rodgers took over at the King Power Stadium and I expect to see the Foxes get a point at Old Trafford from what promises to be an open, exciting affair,” Owen told Bet Victor .

Owen feels Lampard’s woes will continue

Arsenal head to Watford for Quique Sanchez Flores’ return to the Hornets dugout following Javi Gracia’s sacking, which could prove the leveller.

Owen said: “I can’t split the sides at Vicarage Road and I’m going for a point apiece.”

Meanwhile table toppers Liverpool can maintain their perfect start against Newcastle at Anfield, while close followers Man City travel to Premier League new boys Norwich.

De Bruyne will be the difference at Carrow Road says Owen

“[Kevin] De Bruyne has been involved in nine goals in his last seven starts in the Premier League and Norwich will have their work cut out to keep this exceptional City side at arm’s length,” Owen said.

Elsewhere in the division there’s an all-London fixture at Tottenham as Crystal Palace make the short trip across town, with Owen forecasting a narrow win for Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Early season strugglers Aston Villa await the visit of West Ham in the clash of the claret and blues, while Sheffield United and Southampton contest the battle of the red and white stripes.
