Michael Jackson’s eldest child Prince has revealed he feels his dad’s ‘guidance’.

The King Of Pop died 10 years ago however his 22-year-old son has said he often feels his late father is helping steer him in the right direction.

This week Prince revealed the Thriller hitmaker ‘always’ wanted his children to ‘chase their dreams’, as he added he was proud to have launched his YouTube movie review channel with younger brother Blanket.

They launched it earlier this year and have already gathered a tidy fan base.

Prince told Extra: ‘My dad was always a strong believer in going for what you want and “go follow your dreams and chase your dreams…”

‘So for us to be able to kind of sit there and hopefully make a career about talking about film and looking at film – my brother wants to be a director, I love producing…’

He continued: ‘It’s just, it’s definitely, there’s some form of guidance there that kind of is ushering us into the next generation.’

Prince, who also has sister Paris, revealed the goal for the channel on the video-sharing platform is to ‘bring an educated yet family-friendly vibe’ for viewers tuning in.

He explained: ‘Right now, it’s just me, my brother, and my cousin Taj, one camera in a room in our house, and we’re really focused on reviewing movies and current movies as they come out.

‘We’re hoping to bring an educated yet family-friendly vibe into the movie-watching arena… We’re hoping to be in other forms of visual media — video games, virtual stuff like that.’

The man’s got a plan!

Meanwhile, Prince has also reflected on his dad’s legendary music career, and admitted despite finding it difficult to choose a stand-out track, he does have his favourites.

‘One of my favorite songs… is Man in the Mirror because it’s such a great call to action, you know, everybody can get behind. It is like, “If you really want to make a change for the world, you need to change yourself first and you need to really look within and see yourself for who you actually are”,’ he said.

Over the weekend MJ’s children united in his name to do some good for charity, hosting their annual Thriller event in Los Angeles.

Paris and Prince took over the family estate on Friday night to host a fundraiser in partnership with Heal LA Foundation, a non-profit charity which aims to help families struggling in the Los Angeles area.

Joining him on the red carpet was their younger brother Blanket, now known as Bigi, who tends to live a private life and rarely makes public appearances.

Michael’s nephews Taryll, TJ and Taj Jackson also stopped by the bash but it would have been hard to spot them as they were dressed in frightful Halloween costumes.

Prince recalled fond memories of their childhood where Michael would allow them to do fancy dress together on Halloween.

‘A lot of people know that my dad liked to have our faces covered to protect our identity and as the most famous man in the world, it [was] very hard for him to get out and do normal things,’ he recalled to the Associated Press at the party.

‘But because it’s acceptable in Halloween to dress up in full costume, that was one of the only times when we could hang out outside as a family.’
