Method partners with Runtime.gg for Race to World First

English organisation Method has announced Runtime.gg as the official nutrition partner of its Race to World First event.

Runtime.gg will provide its full range of shakes, bars, and energy drinks, and more for the Method team at the event at TakeTV, with the nutrition brand having a large presence during the broadcast.

Scott McMillan, Scott McMillan, Co-owner & Co-founder of Method commented on the deal: “It takes a lot of mental energy and physical stamina to compete at this level, with the high requirements of the race taking a big toll, especially when it’s a long one – which the Eternal Palace is shaping up to be. With the help of Runtime, we’re prepared to put our best foot forward and have complete confidence in their ability to support our players throughout this intense racing period.”

The event got underway on July 16th, with Method streaming 24/7 until the final boss of the raid is taken down. The organisation will be effectively racing against Limit and Pieces, two guilds that partnered with Red Bull for an event of their own that’s identical in nature. At the time of writing, Method and Limit are both tied after breaking past five out of eight bosses in the raid.

Runtime.gg also sponsors organisations Vexed Gaming and BIG Clan. It has become Method’s third announced partner for the event, joining Save the Children and Secretlabs. The three join Method’s other partners: MSI, Fanbyte, Twitch, and CORSAIR.

Esports Insider says: When your rival event is being run by an energy drink company, partnering with a nutrition brand seems like a great idea. Esports and energy products will always go hand-in-hand — at least with Runtime, Method are staying away from carbonated sugary drinks!
