‘True gentleman, talented actor and one of the sweetest person I have ever met.

‘Rest In Peace dear Boris! You are loved by so many and will be remembered rest of our lives (sic).’

Boris was born in Romania in 1923, and started out his career at the Tovstonogov Bolshoi Drama Theater, where he worked for almost 30 years, before heading to the US.

He landed a role in The Flacon and the Snowman in 1985, and went on to star as a Soviet Foreign Minister in The Package, opposite Gene Hackman.

As well as this, he also enjoyed stints on the small screen, appearing in New York Undercover and Dellaventura.

But it is his role as the cook in 1997 film Men In Black – alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones – that he is most recognised for.

Boris’ last on-screen role came in Cold Souls, back in 2009, with Paul Giamatti and Armand Schultz.
