Tim Robards arrived at Flemington Racecourse for The Melbourne Cup via helicopter on Tuesday, without his wife Anna Heinrich.

It’s the second time the married couple, who met on The Bachelor in 2013, have arrived separately to a racing event during the 2019 Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Despite Tim, 37, having a home in Melbourne, Anna, 33, stayed in a hotel on Monday night after flying in from Sydney for the occasion.

Anna is attending the Melbourne Cup as an emcee for Myer’s Fashions on the Field.

On Monday night, she shared a photo to Instagram of her script as she rehearsed her lines before boarding her flight from Sydney Airport.

Anna got ready for the ‘race that stops the nation’ in her hotel suite at Crown Towers, but her husband was nowhere in sight.

She gave fans a look at her ‘boss lady’ ensemble in the hotel’s lift, posing in a custom-made Atoir dress with a black boater hat by Lisa Tan Millinery.

Meanwhile, Tim arrived at Flemington Racecourse on Tuesday via an Uber helicopter with fellow reality star Lee Elliott.

He looked dapper in a white dress shirt, a tailored grey suit jacket and trousers, lace-up brown shoes and a lavender tie.

Interestingly, Tim did not wear his wedding ring, but he has previously said that he rarely wears it.

‘I was never really a ring kind of guy,’ he said earlier this year, adding that he tends to leave it in Sydney to wear on ‘special occasions’.

Anna’s manager said on Tuesday: ‘They arrived at different times as they’re both working and have different call times. Everything else is nonsense.’

Tim had also arrived via helicopter at Derby Day on Saturday, while Anna travelled there separately earlier in the day.

During an interview with Studio 10, Tim explained their separate modes of transportation.

He said that because of Anna’s obligations as a Studio 10 reporter, it was best for her to prepare for the gig solo.

It comes after Kyle Sandilands said he was ‘worried’ about the couple’s longevity after spending time filming Trial by Kyle with Anna earlier this year.

He said on KIIS FM: ‘Every weekend that we filmed the show, I’d say, “Has Tim come back up [to Sydney] this weekend?” and she’d say no.

‘I’m worried about Anna, I’m worried about her and Tim.’

Tim had moved to Melbourne in March after landing a full-time role on Neighbours, with the couple mostly seeing each other in Sydney on the weekends.

Responding to Kyle’s comments, Tim told Daily Mail Australia: ‘Anna and I knuckle down into work during the week and have plenty of quality time on the weekends.

‘We’re actually surprised how well we’ve made the circumstances work.’

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia at Derby Day on Saturday, Tim said that children were absolutely on the cards for the couple.

‘Yeah for sure we definitely want to, just at the moment it’s not exactly going to work if I’m not around day to day,’ he said.

‘So I think as soon as we are back in the same town full time then I think it will be on.’
